It was your average boring Saturday morning when I suddenly heard a knock at the door. I called out for my housemate Matthew to answer the door but then I remembered he had been out since yesterday. I let out a over exaggerated sigh as I got up and made my way to the front door. Upon opening the door I was surprised to see my younger sister Riley standing there and she brought her three month old son with her.



“Heeeeeeey brother! Long time no see, may we come in?” she asked with a bright smile that just screamed something was up.


“Uhh yeah sure...” I replied since I really couldn't turn down family.



She walked in while I closed the door behind them. I was about to ask why they were visiting unannounced but couldn't as I felt my body freeze up. My sister turned towards me with a smile and told me that she needed an “extended break” from raising a child and that I would be her permanent replacement. I tried to voice my concern but quickly found out my vocal cords were also frozen by whatever Riley was doing. She then told me that she's been watching these how to videos on Magic and decided to see if it would really work and thought I would be the perfect test subject.



I watched helplessly as Riley muttered what sounded like gibberish but I guess was some sort of incantation or whatever people were calling these things these days. My entire body started to get this light tingly sensation, it felt like someone was tickling you all over and there's nothing you can do about it. This sensation lasted for what was really only a few minutes but when you're frozen in place it starts to feel like an eternity. Riley seemed to be satisfied with the results because she walked over to me and told me to hold my baby boy.



My arms started to move on their own as she got closer to me. I was forced to reach out and take the baby from her and pull him close to me as I suddenly found myself gently bouncing him to keep him from getting upset. Riley just smiled and commented on how cute I looked and that I would make a good mommy. She spoke some more of her gibberish as I felt my head feel fuzzy as memories that weren't my own began to flood in and replace the current ones.



Suddenly everything seemed natural and all right, I was holding my cute baby boy while chatting with my sister about girl stuff. My little baby just rested his little adorable head on my shoulder as I gently rubbed his back. Riley mentioned that she should probably be going so I could get the baby fed and then put down for a nap. I told her that was fine and walked with her to the door, we said our goodbyes and she left. I gently closed the door and walked over to the couch to begin feeding my baby.



Epilogue:


Riley was surprise that the spell she learn work. She had just alter reality. Sure it may have cost her older brother but now she's childfree and has a new older sister. Riley figure that she could learn some more spells and get some much needed revenge on some people starting with her EX who first knock her up and then abandon her and the baby when he was told that she was pregnant.
